Who is using external audio cards with success?

I'm currently using a Native Instruments Audio 2 DJ external sound card for my triggered audio files from Live. It's pretty buggy. When starting or switching between triggered audio tracks I'll hear a random segment of another file, or a snippet from the file I'm starting. It's weird. Native Instruments hasn't been much help. I was wondering what everyone else is using. I really don't want my whole night to be reliant on a headphone jack.
