3D view pixelated

Postby merdam » 13 June 2023, 20:50

Windows 11 pro , Quick DMX 64bit
When i try to use the 3D viewer its pixelated like its from the 90's.
Ive just updated the computer and made sure directX is up to date but it didn't work.
Any suggestions?
I may have to go back to my old computer to do this light project :o

Please confirm you are using the version 5.3.2 Beta of 3DView which is available only in the fix file here: https://thelightingcontroller.com/viewt ... =85&t=3438

Then if yes, please post a link of a screenshot of your 3DView screen (https://thelightingcontroller.com/viewt ... f=3&t=6904).

so ive installed the fix and it works... but...
My tech abilities are being tested...

when i open the 3D viewer through quick DMX I see the pixelated version but the room with all the fixtures...
if i open the 3D viewer seperately, I get no pixelation and the live lights...but no fixtures in the room so i cant see what I'm pointing the lights at.

How do I get them to talk properly to eachother?

Makes sense.
The main program sends the list of the DMX fixtures to the 3D view.
No main program > no DMX fixtures in the 3D view.

Ok... So there is no actual fix for my problem?

I can get a working 3D viewer, but then it will not speak with the main program... Or I can get the pixelated 3D viewer that speaks with the program.

I've tried replacing the 3D viewer program where the main program opens it from, but then its pixelated...

How du I get the two programs to speak..?

The fixtures are sent to me by a venue in another country so they are not in my control and they haven't had problems with anyone else using this configuration.

You must place the new 3DView from the fix file in the same directory as the old one and with the same name.
You can check the version of the opened 3DView from the "About".
