3D View running slow on 3d file

Postby jjb95 » 13 February 2011, 00:00

I wanted to test the expandability of 3D View. I made a hugh professional show. 3 full universe's. Tons of truss. Its a repleca of Michael Jackson's: This Is It Stage. However, it runs rather slow being that I have all these things in it. Is it possible to speed up the 3D View? Im using a macbook pro 2.2 ghz, 4 gigs of ram. Would a faster mac fix the problem? i can send you the file.

It would be interesting to see the show you have made, but yes, you are really stressing your computer to the max with that many fixtures and objects. You should notice it speed up if you un-tick the realistic beams box and the gobos box in 3D settings. Also put the beam resolution to low.

The most important is a strong video card.
You can also send us the lightshow.
We will make some tests with it (on next week).
