Can we still use the object "matrix_panel" ?

Postby pjsoepboer » 01 June 2010, 21:28

Hi there,

I'm a satisfied Sweetlight user for one year now, but have my first problem now.

Since I downloaded the 6 version of SL, I walked against one problem which I couldn't fix so far.

I'm trying to play something on my MATRIX Boards, inserted by Objects in the 3D view, but can't get it on.
And that is while my 3D button in the LIVE Page is turned on (green light).

Sweetlight 5 was able to do what is standing above.

Can someone tell me how I can use those Matrix panels in 3D-view?

Thanks in advance.

Which function were you exactely using in V5 ?
What is the matrix board ?
Are you talking about the application Builder of V5 ?
Or are you talking about the application Pixels of V5 ?
If yes, why do you post in section Live ?

The whole problem is the Matrix boards in 3D view are not working.

By Matrix boards I mean the Pixelboards which can play photo's or video's.
You can insert them by your Object settings in 3D View.

In V5 we had a button on the control board which said; PIXELS.
Here you could control your Matrix Boards (Pixel panels) by playing video or photo's.
This button has dissapeared in V6, but the LIVE section can play media files, but nothing appears on the boards in 3D.

Very obvious then, that I posted this question here in the live section of the forum, because LIVE can play media files, so it should be somewhere in LIVE to solve the not working Matrix panels (Pixel panels).

Understood.
The answer is this is not possible. Following the so low interest that users gave to the application "Pixels" in software V5, it is presently out of question to redo Pixels in V6. And without the application Pixels, the "matrix_panel" object is not usable.

We move this thread in section 3DView.

That is dissapointing news..

I've heared from other Sweetlight users that the next version is on it's way (don't know if it's true), but is it possible that the Matrix comes back to the program in the future? (play video's and photo's on a Matrix (Pixel) screen)

Anyway, thank you very much for your answer!
Now I don't have to search every option in Sweetlight anymore to get thoses panels to work.

Still, love the program!

There is always a new coming version.
Next one should be this month.
But, there is no plan for Matrix application in a near future.

I was using the Matrix panels to display the video from a Timeline in 3D view. I lost many hours of work. I wish there was a way to display the video projection of my light show in 3D view.
