Showtec NanonQ 12 Q4 not working [fixed]

Post by Azonata »

Hello,

recently our local theatre has been trying to get our fixtures functioning in 3D. This has been working really well, almost all of our fixtures act as expected, however one particular fixture has been giving us issues. This concerns the Showtec NanoQ 12 Q4 in the 14 channel configuration (this fixture is included in the fixture library of the most recent version of QuickDMX). When this fixture is added to the 3D view it is only possible to operate the dimmer channel, which gives a white light in 3D view. All of the other functions (RGB etc.) do not seem to have any effect in 3D. In the 6 channel configuration this fixture does appear to function as intended, in the 10 channel configuration RGB seem to function, however not the strobe, zoom or backlight function (possibly as intended?). Perhaps anyone could help with regards to the nature of this 14 channel configuration not working in 3D view? Thank you in advance.

If it is of any help, here you can find the manual for this fixture: https://www.highlite.com/nl/mwdownloads ... /17399538/

Kind regards,
Henry

There are some mistakes in the profile.
Please try the attached one.
Sory but the functions "zoom" and "backlight" are not possible in 3DView.

Thank you, this fixture seems to work as far as I can tell. The only thing I'm not sure about (this might be intended though) is whether the RGB channels of the primary light are supposed to be grouped with the RGB channels of the backlight. By default (when channels are not ungrouped) it seems that applying a colour to the primary light also moves the same slider for the backlight. When ungrouping channels they can be changed separately. Is this intended behaviour?

We made the profile like this:
- dimmer for both sections
- color, RGBW, shutter, zoom section #1
- backlightdimmer, color, RGB, shutter for section #2
It is possible to change the section for a channel in the combo box "Head number" in the window "Edit channel".
