Creating scenes in Chauvet ShowExpress 512 Plus

Greetings,

I work for a church and we just switched over to Chauvet ShowExpress 512 Plus. I have created scenes in the editor, but I want fade to black and then fade up to the new scene without the lights coming on until their set position. I don't know how to do this since I am new to this software. We are using 4 Q-Spot 260, 2 Q-Wash 560z, and a Q-Wash 436z.

I have created a number of different scenes, but a I need to program them so that they transition smoothly between each one. Look forward to any insight.
