Did you check that the DMX button was switched on. It's beside the 3D viewer button.
I've also had to change the dmx cable a few times.

This is not a solution. Using the button can only create a single event. Just as the timeline
feature automates multiple scenes in sequence, live performance requires multiple fx and
patch changes over the course of the timeline. All this requires is a track in timeline that
can transmit midi ...

The button facility that sends midi can only send one lonely message. If I want to control reverbs, delays and patch changes for guitar
I need to be able to send multiple control on/off and patch change signals.

Is it possible to add a midi message channel with the media and scene in the timeline page. I use Showxpress with a live band and would like to
be able to change instrument and effect patches during the performance but I only have one midi message option on the button page.

Try going to the menu, top left under the editor. Left click and open button
settings. In the buttons/tab window select boards and the number you want to have.

Just check where the files and folders are being saved. I saved mine to My Documents and is didn't work. If you go to the file accessed
directly by Showxpress you should be able to copy and paste from other computers. This is what worked for me. I copy and paste scenes
and timelines from my home ...

I run the show from an IPAD with the button page playing timelines
instead of scenes. I can put about 30 buttons on a page.
This way I can see all the tracks and don't have to worry about any
DAW crashes and don't have to run to a setlist. I would put an image

I use midi to change my effects patches, but I only have one control event
