you need to make sure the fixture profiles are set to be able to be viewed in 3d

there is a button up the top of screens that allows you to output to the 3d view screen, make sure you press this, 3d view 100% works without an interface,

What controller are you using?
it all depends on what you're using and if moving to a 38 channel mode changes the way channels are allocated, I would try to get the datasheet, it would be easier to help you then, for example, there are fixtures that change how many channels are used for movement ...

just having issues trying to get the strobe function working and simulated in 3d
8 channel mode if you could please, ill likely ignore the sound and program functions

I think having a keyboard shortcut for things like disabling channels would be super useful and really help with some of the issues I hear about disabling channels, even better would be a clear button that releases all commands and disables all channels , common on most boards and software
