Works with USB 2.0 port DOES NOT with USB 3.0

When I plug the D512 into the USB 2.0 port on my laptop (ASUS i7 4gb Ram SSD Win7) the unit works properly with the ShowXpress software 6.29 but does not work if plugged into the USB 3.0 port on my laptop.
