Re: Manual BPM change - add manual stepping?

Yeah; what you said makes sense. Unfortunately, moving heads are about the only fixture type I don't have any real experience with just yet. I get where you're coming from now on the necessity of smooth/sine transition for moving head control and such. Programmatically, though, I'm not sure how ...

Re: Manual BPM change - add manual stepping?

I think when you switch to manual BPM, it bypasses smooth transition and switches it to step transition.

Also, I would think you could make your own fader button for movement speed, so long as you create a two-step scene with just the movement speed channel for the scanners active, with the first ...

Re: [V6.33] Bug involving layered steps [fixed]

With the fix now, each scene starts by blacking out all lights used in the scene but not used in just the first step; For a scene with 10-20 steps that doesn't start with all associated lamps lit, this becomes quite a limiting factor.

Programmatically, is there a reason to require that all used ...

Re: [V6.33] Bug involving layered steps [fixed]

So what I'm getting from this fix, is that any channel used in a scene MUST be made active on the FIRST step of the scene? Unfortunately, I've created a ton of chase scenes that utilize layering of steps such that the scene properly layers the chase over the previous scene. This fix now makes the ...

Re: Bug Report(?) Involving layered steps

I make the scene by starting the first step with all channels disabled. I then enable the channels I want to use in the first step, and set their values. I then add a new step, which copies the first step into the new step. I then enable the channels I'm adding into the new step, and set their ...

Re: Bug Report(?) Involving layered steps

No, single universe (or no universe, if I'm away from home w/o my DMX interface, like now)

Attached is a test show I've created; It has one fixture (six spot... one channel for each spot, plus some effects channels), and 3 steps. My intention is to have the first step turn on the first two spots ...

Re: Bug Report(?) Involving layered steps

Through further testing/troubleshooting, I've reinstalled 6.32 and loaded this scene up; It works correctly/as intended, without the output problems listed above.

This solves my problem for the time being, but looking forward to using that master fader! Let me know if there's any other info I could ...

Re: Bug Report(?) Involving layered steps

I don't know... I've got a fairly decent understanding of not activating unused channels in order to allow new effects to layer over old. If you're suggesting that I disable channels in later steps if they're not changing the values in previous steps, I've tried that as well, and it didn't work (as ...

Manual BPM change - add manual stepping?

Love the Manual BPM feature, but I'm running into something that I've seen mentioned numerous times: It takes a few seconds for clicks on the manual BPM button to start affecting the light. Coming from a programming background as well, I was wondering if it would be possible to set up the following ...
