- What happened when the software "crashed" ? (Only Freeze ? Error message from the OS ? If yes, what message ?)
- What is the Mac OS version used ?
- What where you doing on the software when it "crashed", or at least what was the software doing when it happened ?
- How did you solve the problem ? (Restart the software ? Restart the interface ? Restart the computer ? ...)

Regards.

Btw: What about some kind of log-feature, which continues filling a text file with everything the user did and what the software responded? This way it would be much easier to find a solution to many crash-problems.

The show was running and all of a sudden it crashed.

When it crashed it asked me if I wanted to restart the show, I did and then it ran again.

The Mac is running the latest version of the operating system.

The light show we received is a light show used on Windows 10 (not MacOS) and with an old version of the software (8.1.0 - 16/05/09).
Many things have been corrected since this first public version of the V8 software.
Please update the software in the latest version (8.1.15 + Fix file 8.1.20) and let us know if you still have problems :

I have already done the upgrade but haven't had any gigs yet. I will let it run at home and see what happens. Does it matter if I have fixtures hooked up or is just having the interface plugged in enough?

No need to have fixtures hooked up, it is exactly the same.
But it will be interesting to know if a crash happens with the interface plugged and without the interface plugged.
Thank you very much for this test.

Problem fixed (we hope) in the next fix file (8.1.21).

OK, hopefully that will do it.

Today I was running my show using 8.1.15 on my Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.6. I had Traktor running also because that would be typical for me.

I had the show just sitting there running and it crashed after a couple of hours. I hadn't touched it in a long time.
