DMX frameskip

Postby BartKrap » 17 May 2017, 10:29

On reviewing my error file I'm seeing a lot of DMX frameskips. Now I've noticed my lights hanging sometimes but never thought much of it, seeing this it makes me think otherwise.

Do you have any idea what causes this and how to resolve it?

Please check the dates of the "frameskip" messages, and tell us if this message is constant.

Please tell us also your interface model.

Seems to me that when it happens it happens a couple times fairly consistantly and then not for a while.

Model is the D512 (quickdmx).

I've added the file so you can see for yourselves.

Update from today.

I am seeing more dmx frameskips. One is especialy weird. At 3:18 it says it skipped a frame. We close at 3:00 so the lights were all white, nobody even touched a scene.

Looks like it's somewhat random after all.

Also from 23:40 till 00:15 it happened almost every minute or two.

The newest file is included.
