Random Play - Stop one button from activating

Postby mat_splat » 18 October 2016, 17:18

I have set up a single page with the buttons i want for my dj set, they are running on random but i have keyboard to override for lasers etc.
There is a button linked to a white strobe scene, which i want to exclude from the random play sequence. I have tried adding it ti a different page, as a flash button but, the rest of the random buttons keep playing. is there a way to have an button excluded from random play, which i can flash press then resume the random button on release?

Any help much appreciated
cheers

"Random play" plays all buttons within the page.
You have to create a new button in another page.

I tried this but, when i activate the other button, it doesn't override the first pages random play.
Is there a way to have the button on the 2nd page set to flash whilst blacking out/ pausing random on the first page until release?

Add a second button to open the "strobe" channels, in the other page.
Disable these channels in all buttons from the "random play" page.

Maybe i have misrepresented the issue. When i have the strobe chanels, to a button on a 2nd page, the random play on the first page continues. This means that regardless of holding the strobe feature on, the random play still continues, which brings up the next lighting state whilst the strobe is still on. The exact requirement i am looking for is:

Random Play>Press Strobe Button>Blackout/Random Paused & Strobe Activates>Release Strobe Button>Random Resumes

Could i possibly do this with a macro button in a 2nd Page or can you suggest a method. Thank you in advance for your help.

It is not possible to pause a "random play" with any scene/macro button.

With our suggestion, the "random play" will not pause, but the "channels override" should work until you press the second button .

Please watch the tutorials for "Live" made by "goodtimepro".
You should find there how to proceed.

Thanks for your help. I will try again today. Might end up just having to blackout the random page, then have a separate strobe page. Will keep you posted
