individual fixture control within a group [fixed]

Post by directsound »

When you select a group let’s say you get all of your moving heads In 5.2 you could un select them and if they were in the middle of your Builder they would be right there so you could let’s say change the color to the first moving head but now when you select a group you need to go back to the Editor and then scroll all the way over to your moving heads and this possess in a pain is there a way to make it like it was in 5.2 so it is easier to go back and forth when programming from Groups to Editor .

Can you make a Topic for a Wish list for add ons

Thanks ,

hi
I think its easer now, when changing the color i go to the 2d and select(double klik ) it there the fixture, all channels showing up, i also have my 2dview more or less the same as were the fixtures in the room, in 5,2 u had to switch between editor and 2d viewscreen and scroll. dont know of this wil help u or do you mean something else?

Yes I use the 2d mode to select fictures but in 5.2you could seclect then un seclect but it would stay where you were working and now I have to scroll and its hard to do it live...

I find that I never use 2d view, I find it much easier and quicker to remember keyboard shortcuts to my fixtures. for example if I st up 6 moving heads I may have all 6 on 'q' 1,3,5, on 'w' 2,4,6, on 'e' 1,2,3 on 'r' and 4,5,6, on 't'. 'p' is always all generics (p for par can)

I just find it a much quickerway of selecting what you want than having to click what you want. This is obviously much quicker as ou only have to press a key rather than use your mouse.

Just an idea

We understand your explaination "directsound".
This gives us an idea of improvement in Editor.
Please let us some time to discuss of this internally in our company.
We could see that point after the first version of application "Timeline" will be ready.

Thank you,,, even if you could just deselect the group you have selected and work in that group on each fixture by its self... Like hit "P" to select all the pars in your group then hit "P" agan to deselect them but keep them grouped .... still grouped together makes more sence then going back to the editor

thank you
