Allan, I am not local to that area, but I am more than willing to call you and speak whenever it's convenient for yo to work with me. I'd be happy to go over whatever to try and get this resolved. I am sure it has got be some sort of setup issue I am missing. I hav alot of experience with 5.2.1 and the xpress 100 (although I'm considering getting the 512DMX becasue the cable is so lightweight) and it has worked great. So let's get together and figure it out.

I am not local but I would more than happy to detail this issues to you at your convenience. I'd like to understand them also. I am thinking of moving to another interace up from the cable 100 express. Perhaps this is a setup issue. Let know how to contact you and when.

I have this issue also.

I'm using Cable with 6.01. I'm using Colorsplash 196 and Par 56-24's.

In my editor it seems the index is off by 1, meaning the first channel RED for my first fixture does not work. However the second channel, GREEN, actually operates my RED LED's. and so on and so forth. It seems the Option Explicit is set to 1 instead of 0 in your code.

This is also confirmed on my Par 56-24's which are also off by 1 channel across the fixture.

Thank you for your clear report "kbrkr".
We found the problem ; this is a bug. It happen with the interface Cable, and exclusively with this interface. It took us time to find this problem because we thought it was a software problem, and the interface we use for software debugging is usually a D512 model.

The fix is ready for download.

Support:

FIXED: I can confirm the fix for the Colorsplash 196 fixtures. They now index correctly for 1-7.

NEW ERROR: However, I have lost all addressing capability for the Par 56-24's.

Prior to the fix, Channel 1 for Fixture 1 had to be set to ZERO in order for my Par 56-24's to work. If there were any other values for Channel 1, my Par 56-24's would not respond.

After the fix, Channel 1 controls Fixture 1's RED inner ring correctly, but the 7 channels of my Par 56-24 are un-responsive. This is pretty critical for me.

Reminder, this is with the DMX CABLE.

We do not really understand this new problem.
But we checked the fix, and there might be some problems with the "dmx start code" (our test dmx receiver can not see this problem).
Please try the updated fix.

Support:

[FIXED] the latest patch (Feb 4) fixed the Par 56-24 addressing issue.

Sequential Addressing with the ColorSplash and Par 56-24's fixtures are now working perfectly.

GREAT JOB Team!

Keep up the excellent work, it is paying off!

Al
